About Iglika Milcheva-Godfrey

Iglika Milcheva-Godfrey

I'm a Bulgarian artist residing in Illinois. I've studied Art both in Bulgaria and in US. I think that the most exciting part about being an artist is the freedom to share your point of view on reality with other people. My favourite subject is the Figure-there is something universal about body language-I love the emotional honesty and dynamic energy that it carries.Along with portraits,I find it the most expressive subject. I enjoy exploring variety of mediums and techniques- from oils and ink to digital media- each has its unique qualities! If my work can make somebody stop for a moment and feel something,well....that's the sweetest reward I can get!! :)
